Hatha Yoga

It is a practice of physical postures correlated with an awareness of one's breathing, to help develop one's mental concentration. Hatha Yoga involves breathing techniques (pranayama), adapted and personalised body postures (asanas), relaxation and meditation.

The goal of Hatha Yoga is to strengthen your body and create a mindful connection between body and mind.

Yoga for back

Yoga for the back helps relax and stretch the back muscles, relieve muscle tension. During each posture, certain muscles contract, while others relax. The sequences of adapted movements promote relaxation and flexibility of the muscles used.

Regular yoga practice helps improve posture and balance by training your body to keep your head, shoulders, spine, and pelvis properly aligned.

Ashtanga Vinyasa

Ashtanga Yoga is  more physically intense practice which consequently makes it more enduring, more toned, more flexible. It also improves balance, coordination, concentration and increases your awareness of the movements and energy flows that run through your body, all in coordination with your breath.

Breath awareness is particularly important in this practice. This type of practice in perpetual motion and constant concentration on the breath will cleanse and calm your mind.

Breathing Techniques & Meditation

Pranayama can be translated from Sanskrit as the expansion (ayama) of one's vital energy (prana) through the control of the breath. In other words, these are breathing techniques that either energise your body or, on the contrary, calm it down. Breathing techniques can promote relaxation and mindfulness, but also help support several aspects of physical health, including lung function, blood pressure.

Some forms of meditation may help you develop a stronger under-standing of yourself, helping you grow into your best self.

Meditation can lead to improved self-image and a more positive out-look on life. Meditation can reduce stress levels, which translates to less anxiety.
